Why rent a yurt? Eight Great Reasons to Rent a Yurt at #1 Rock Tavern River Kamp in Luray, Virginia12/13/2022
"Why rent a yurt? Eight great reasons to rent a yurt at #1 Rock Tavern River Kamp" If you are looking for a freeing, close-to-nature, camping adventure, as opposed to booking a hotel, you may have thought about renting a yurt. Here’s a little background about yurts to pique your interest: Horse-loving nomads who journeyed across the steppes of Central Asia have lived in hide-covered, circular-shaped homes since ancient times, and for centuries, their dome-like shape, and the natural materials used to cover them, would protect these intrepid wanderers from the strong winds and severe weather encountered during their treks.
Recently, staying in a yurt has evolved into “glamping,” and because of its elegant simplicity, the yurt exceeds the expectations of traditional tent campers but is not quite as fussy (or expensive!) as a fancy hotel stay. Rugged yet whimsical, the hearty yurt plays a big role in the “glamping” revolution. As an early adopter and advocate of yurts, and “glamping” in Luray, Virginia, #1 Rock Tavern River Kamp has evolved as well – and is now a go-to glamping hub for individuals, couples, small familes or friends getting together for a fun-loving camping excursion in Luray, Virginia. Water-proof material, doors, windows, and an expansive, elevated platform appeal to campers (like you!) who seek the comfort and convenience of a yurt, within a wooded campsite setting. Does the idea of camping (or “glamping”) in a yurt appeal to you? Wondering where you can rent a yurt in Luray, Virginia? Here are eight, great reasons why you should rent a yurt at the #1 Rock Tavern River Kamp in Luray, Virginia, with some kind words from our guests about their recent stays sprinkled in for good measure.
